Plotline[]
Overview[]
Grace and Jonah keep their relationship on the DL and Tristan starts back slowly in school. Esme is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her man.
Primary[]
Grace is making out with Jonah before school. Jonah walks away and Grace starts walking towards school when Tiny approaches. He notices a hickey on Grace’s neck and Esme and Zig approach and comment on it as well. Afterward Zoe approaches Grace and hugs her but notices the hickey as well. When everyone notices Maya approaching Grace and Zig go to talk to her and Grace hugs her. Zoe then takes a photo of their class together and Maya notices Grace’s hickey. Later Grace asks Zoe if she has a way to hide the hickey and Zoe gives her a scarf. Zoe says no one will see her moped damage and Grace is confused. Winston reveals its when you have fun riding it but don’t want anyone to see you on it. Grace says the guy is nothing to be ashamed of and Winston says maybe she’s his moped and Zoe yells at him. Later Grace tries to be affectionate with Jonah in class but he pulls away. She tells him they shouldn’t keep their relationship a secret anymore and Jonah tells her he doesn’t want Frankie to know yet, because she was taking the break up pretty hard. At the fun fair, Grace overhears Frankie tell Lola she thinks Jonah might want to get back together. She approaches Jonah at the jousting game and knocks him over. Jonah asks what’s going on and Grace said Frankie thinks she’s getting back with him. Jonah says he doesn’t want to be with Frankie and Grace says that he cares about protecting Frankie’s feelings but not hers. She says that she won’t be his moped and Jonah says that’s not what this is. A little while later Jonah publicly sings a song for Grace and asks her to be his “completely out in the open” Girlfriend and Grace accepts and kisses him. Frankie sees this and is devastated.
Secondary[]
Maya returns to school and is greeted by Grace and Zig. She later partners with Zig for an art project and the next day, they present their project together. Maya seems annoyed when Esme gets her and Zig detention but she gets to skip it to have a counseling session with Mrs. Grell. She reveals to Maya that she wants to ease her back into school and make sure she’s not overwhelmed. Maya said she’s still getting used to the different treatment, and that her friends are worried about her. Mrs. Grell says they’re probably mostly glad she’s alive and Maya said she is glad that she’s alive too. She says that when she thinks about what happened it feels like it happened to a completely different person, which she suspects is a good thing. Mrs. Grell reveals her sister has depression and that she describes it as something that gets between her real self and the world. Maya says that’s exactly what it like. She says whenever she feels sad she thinks of friends and family and attending university at SoCal Art, and Mrs. Grell says they’d be lucky to have her.
Esme is sitting with Zig in art class and wants to partner with him for the art project but Zig says he’s going to partner with Maya instead. Esme is upset and Tiny says he just wants to be there for her because she almost died. He also tells her Zig has never loved anyone half as much as Maya, and Esme asks why they broke up then. Tiny reveals it’s that he got jealous when anyone else was near Maya and this gives Esme the idea to partner with Saad for the project. They are later at Esme’s house and Esme wants Saad to paint her nude for the project. Saad asks if that would make Zig jealous and Esme said all he cares about is Maya, and Saad realizes she’s jealous. Esme asks why she’d be jealous of a girl who tried to kill herself. Saad asks when she did that and Esme tells him it was the night of the play. Saad is confused because he saw her that night and reveals he opened the door to the roof and starts to feel guilty as he felt he could have done something. Esme tells him to forget about it then strips nude for him, making Saad uncomfortable. The next day they present their project and the art teacher quickly covers it after seeing the nude painting and tells Esme to apologize to the class. Esme asks why Zig can get naked but she can’t and Zig is shocked that she actually got naked for the project. Esme said if she and Saad get in trouble then Maya and Zig should as well and the teacher agrees and gives them all detention. Later Esme, Saad, and Zig are in detention and Esme is annoyed that Maya got to get out of detention for her counselor appointment and Zig says that it’s not Maya’s fault and asks why Esme always gets so crazy. Esme asks how she’s the crazy one when Maya tried to kill herself. Zig says she was sick and Esme says she’s selfish and that if she did it anywhere else she wouldn’t have found her. Esme says she should just kill herself and attempts to leave but the teacher comes back in. After the teacher leaves again Zig asks Esme if she really is thinking of killing herself and Esme responds who knows because she’s crazy, and Zig apologizes for calling her that. Esme reveals she’s been thinking of her mom again and having nightmares and Zig said he had no idea. Esme says it’s because he’s always with Maya and Zig reveals he has to spend time with her because it’s his fault she attempted suicide. Esme reminds him they saved her but Zig said he pushed her away. Esme told him that if it’s anyone’s fault it was Saad’s because he let her on the roof and “basically gave her an invitation.” Zig remembers the photos he took of her and Esme said she might have been okay if not for him. Later Zig approaches Saad and asks if he even feels bad because he could have stopped Maya and Saad tells him to stay away from him. Zig says he won’t unless Saad stays away from Maya and Esme. Saad says he wants nothing to do with his crazy girlfriend and Zig said she’s not crazy. Saad says she’s messed up and asks how many guys she’s gotten naked for while they were together. Zig takes Saad’s camera and Saad attempts to get it back but it drops and breaks. Saad is furious and punches Zig in the face.
Tertiary[]
Yael is uncomfortable about the size of their boobs and Lola offers to take them shopping for a new bra. Yael is able to find one they like, and later Lola and Yael are at the fun fair having fun in the bouncy castle. Baaz, Vijay, and Hunter approach them and are clearly staring at Yael’s chest. Baaz offers Yael his cotton candy and when Yael is confused as to why, Lola reminds them of how she told them the bra would change their life, and tells Yael that Baaz was checking them out which makes Yael uncomfortable. They go back to the store and return the bra and the salesperson offers for Yael to try a binder, which Yael really likes.
- Esme reveals to Zig that Saad that let Maya on the roof.
- Maya returns to school.
- This is the start of the public relationship between Jonah and Grace.
