Why Trashcan Milligan is Hands Down the Worst Degrassi Character Ever
Ohhhhh boy, this is gonna be fun.
It’s pretty well known that Degrassi has a lot of shitty characters. The more recent seasons especially featured a lot of characters who were very poorly written and/or underdeveloped. Owen—who coincidentally happens to be Tristan’s brother—rarely got screentime, and usually when he did he was far from likable. Drew repeated the same mistakes multiple times until he left the show. Zig’s personality changed every episode. Johnny was a douchebag and a major case of wasted character potential.

When I first watched the older seasons, I didn’t feel much for Manny other than dread because I knew the thong was coming. In the first two seasons, she was really nothing more than Emma’s quirky sidechick who was more hungry for popularity and had a childish crush on Craig. I’ve mentioned, as much as this makes me cringe now, that I did ship Zaya going into Season 13. When Summertime aired, I was confused when Zig never appeared and no one mentioned him (still kind of am, honestly). But as soon as I saw Miles David Hollingsworth III…Zigmund Novak who?

Why I Hate Zaya
Ah, Zaya. Here we go.
For starters, I’m just going to preface this by saying it’s been a while since I’ve watched a lot of their scenes (I have no desire to go back and rewatch lmaooo) so my memory is a little foggy. But I do remember that, along with making zero sense, this is hands down one of the worst pairings in Degrassi history for a variety of reasons.

Just for some background info, Drianca was my first Degrassi OTP. The first episode I watched was Bittersweet Symphony and then I watched the following episodes of season 12 from there. I was drawn in by them, mainly because of Luke and Alicia's chemistry (it's shallow but I was in 7th grade lmao). And as I watched more of their episodes, especially in season 11, I fell hardcore in love with them. To this day, they still hold a special place in my heart, even though as I've gotten older I've realized how problematic they actually were. So I wanted to come up with a "better written" Drianca story that I think would have properly used the potential they had.

1. How everyone became a parody of who they started the show as by the end of the series- This is an overall problem I have had with the show since S5. Overtime, everyone in the show became a shallow cariacature of their book counterparts.
Book Tyrion is a complex, grey character who struggles with whether he can overcome his childhood trauma and be a hero, do horrible things in the name of his family so he can be accepted by them (which will never happen), or be the monster the world sees him as. Show Tyrion became a drunken frat boy after S4 who's importance is gone, and now he's just there to crack dick jokes and give Dany …

It’s time for our first colors blog! This blog will be based on the Hogwarts Houses in Harry Potter. House Gryffindor will be made up of red pokemon, House Ravenclaw will be made up of blue pokemon, House Hufflepuff will be made up of yellow pokemon, and House Slytherin will be made up of green pokemon! It's time for our next game!
We're doing this Westerosi style. Each noble house has given an advantage to two types of dragon pokemon (Ex. Targaryens favour pure dragon types and dragons that have 'fire' as a second type).
Since there are 4 players and 9 houses, whoever picks House Tully (which only has like...1 Advantaged Poke) gets the house that doesn't get picked. If nobody picks House Tully, it goes to the player with the fewest Advantaged Poke.Then, once the houses are sorted, I'm gonna gen the teams - it would be 99% random, except whoever ends up with House Tully will get the like...once poke they have.
