The Emmy-nominated 10th season of Degrassi premiered on July 19, 2010 in Canada on MuchMusic and July 20, 2010 in the United States on Teennick. The season saw many changes for the show, from being the first to not only air off of its original channel CTV, or broadcast television, to also being the first season to have simultaneous airings in Canada and the United States. Although only two school years have passed since Season 6, this season depicts the 2010-2011 school year. The tagline, "The Next Generation," was dropped because of the audience being unfamiliar with the previous generation, leaving the series being simply titled, Degrassi.
The 10th season aired in three partsāthe first part, named Degrassi: The Boiling Point in the USA, went through the summer; the second part, an eight-episode block of Season 10, was renamed back to Degrassi; the latter part of the season was titled as Degrassi: In Too Deep in the USA, which completed the season and ran until April 22, 2011. The names did not apply in Canada; all three parts were titled Degrassi.
In Canada, more than one million viewers tuned in to watch the first four episodes alone.

Character Descriptions
Drew Torres (Grade 11)
Drew's athletic prowess and irresistible smile can't help but catch the attention of the ladies of Degrassi. And that's more than fine with him -- as long as none of them try to lock him down. Drew's focus is strictly on football and having a good time; grades and committed relationships don't really factor in.
Adam Torres (Grade 10)
Unlike his jock older step-brother Drew, Adam prefers to keep out of the spotlight. He's guarded, and can seem stand-offish, but those who win his friendship find out quickly that he's fiercely loyal once he lets you in. Adam's quick wit is both his weapon and his shield -- it allows him to be himself at all costs.
Eli Goldsworthy (Grade 11)
Opinionated, voluntarily "different", and always at the ready with a well-crafted snarky comment, Eli is the kind of outsider who can't escape bullies' attention for long. But if he really cared what the bullies thought, he probably wouldn't drive a vintage hearse to school every day.
Bianca DeSousa (Grade 11)
Bianca's favorite things in the world are hoop earrings, skin-tight jeans, and telling people off. And boys. And if any of these Degrassi girls cross her, she's not afraid to involve her fists, either.
