Character History[]
Season 11[]
In Don't Panic (1), Eli Goldsworthy talks to Dr. Weston during a therapy session after being diagnosed with bipolar disorder. In what looks to be her office, Eli shows Dr. Weston a video taken during his improvised monologue at the end of his play Love Roulette. He comments that he has "crazy person eyes" and she responds that he was having a manic episode. Eli then grows concerned about how he will face people back at school because he hurt a lot of people. She says that he will take his meds, meet with her, and apologize when he is ready. She warns him that it will be a struggle every day but assures him that some of his favorite artists have and do suffer from his diagnosis. They both list off the names Ernest Hemingway, Edgar Allen Poe, Jackson Pollock, and Vincent van Gogh. Eli jokes that he should stay home a few more days because he doesn't want to cut off an ear. Dr. Weston says to give her a call if he has any problems, hands him her card, and tells him he can do this because he is committed to getting better. He thanks her and leaves to go to class.
Season 12[]
Eli sees Dr. Weston because he is having trouble coping with finding Cam's body.
In Ray of Light (1), Dr. Weston makes another appearance after Eli has some trouble coping with having found the body of deceased student Campbell Saunders. They are seen meeting in a classroom at Degrassi where Eli thanks her for meeting him so early. Eli is worried something is wrong with him and is convinced he attracts death, giving the deaths of his ex Julia and Cam as examples of this. Dr. Weston assures him that it's a part of life and has nothing to do with him. She encourages him to cope in whatever way he feels necessary and he decides it would be best for him not to talk about Cam so much and go on a fun date with Clare. He asks if he's allowed to have fun to which Dr. Weston chuckles and says "absolutely."
In Ray of Light (2), Bullfrog calls Dr. Westin to schedule a appointment for Eli the next day, though Dr. Westin isn't seen onscreen. The next day Eli tells Clare that he saw Dr. Westin that morning and thought he should come back to the greenhouse where he found Cam's body.
