They both look at him talking to a group of girls down the hall. Alli says that ever since she laid eyes on him, she knew they were meant to be. Clare furrows her brows at that comment and asks if she's even talked to him. Alli says you can't just talk to a guy like that, you have to have a strategy. Drew starts heading their way and Clare says she better come up with one fast and pushes Alli into Drew so they can talk. Alli looks at Clare and Drew glances at her too. Clare is present for their whole conversation and when Drew leaves, Alli asks if anyone has died from embarrassment. Clare says no but jokes that people have been permanently scarred.

In Zombie (1), Drew gets annoyed when Clare attends his campaign party telling people to vote for her. He confronts her, and Clare says that student council election rules state that nominees must have equal access to voters. When he brushes her off, she says nobody will vote for him because he bribed them with snacks and tiki torches. She adds that it's an important job and he's not smart enough to do it. Drew looks at her with surprise on his face and shouts that at least he's not boring as she goes to turn away. She turns back slowly. He looks at the crowd who has gone quiet. Dave, Dallas, and Bianca step closer. Clare says no one wants a president who is only running to amuse themselves. He responds by saying that it's better than someone who is running because they got dumped. He turns to the crowd and adds "Ooh! So bad!" Dallas raises his eyebrows while looking at Clare, Bianca looks around, annoyed, and Dave furrows his brow at Drew. Drew asks the crowd to choose the bitter girl or awesome guy, adding that the choice is pretty clear. He then shouts "Vote Drew!" Clare shouts "Vote this!" pushing Drew in the kiddie pool behind him. Once Drew wins the election, Clare is upset and Drew tries to comfort her and offers for her to be his VP, and Clare accepts his offer, though she corrects him when he says "veep." When Eli approaches, Drew tries to leave but Clare puts a hand on his chest briefly to stop him from moving. Drew watches as Eli tells Clare he got into NYU. She tells him she's happy for him and that all his dreams are coming true, so maybe he was better off without her. Eli echoes Connor's earlier sentiment about him being a mess without her. He wants a happy ending. Clare rejects him, saying they aren't a fairytale and wishing him a good summer and fun in New York. Eli leaves, dejected. Clare is still sad and Drew comforts her more before she wipes away her tears and gets to work.

It pees on the floor and Drew is about to make her clean it up until she says she has cancer. After starting to clean it up, Drew asks what she really asked him to meet her here for. She admits that at any minute her doctor will come in and tell her if her cancer has gotten worse. He says that that's scary. She says she's not ready and that she doesn't want the hospital walls to be the last ones she sees. He says with a smile that she could always leave. She smiles back, getting an idea. Moments later, Drew, dressed in scrubs, makes it look like Clare is in her bed using a balloon and a wig while Clare puts on a pink wig. Clare comes out and Drew says he has a stretcher outside waiting for her. She asks if she has to act dead. Drew confirms but doesn't get why that might be insensitive. She smiles and tells him it isn't a prison, and as long as the nurses don't see, they're fine. Drew says he has to drop the puppy, named Waffles, off at camp and they can go on an adventure. Clare stares at the basket with the puppy inside as Drew excitedly suggests rock climbing, bungee jumping, and finally sky diving. She says that could actually kill her and he thinks about it for a moment before she mentions how she wants to be a normal girl for the day and reminds him that all her friends are at Degrassi. Drew understands where she's headed with this and is unimpressed by her lame request. Clare gets on a gurney and they mock Zoë Rivas' character's scene in West Drive (previously shown in All I Wanna Do). Drew takes Clare to the Degrassi event. When they get there, he welcomes her to sports day. She says she thought it was animal day, hence Waffles. Drew clarifies that Waffles is just for the winner to play with. Later, Clare ends up throwing up after participating in a relay race and, after drinking water, when one of the kids named Colton coughs in her face and says he has a cold, she shouts at him and Drew walks up to tell them to find Adam. Clare asks him what she's doing there and says she could have gotten sick. She tells Drew to take her back to the hospital and he agrees to.

In Young Forever, Clare asks Eli about Adam's funeral and asks if Drew cried. Eli says he was quiet and adds that everybody was. Later, Drew and Clare both attend the Memorial thrown for Adam by Becky.

He then tells her he finished the short film quickly so he could come bungee jumping with Clare. Clare doesn't tell him that they already went and Drew acts excited for them to go.
