"When I beat someone, I know I can survive."
Drew isn't the smartest when it comes to academics. He does, however, make up for it by being very talented in areas such as basketball, football, and drumming. He has a penchant for dating or hooking up with many girls and isn't the most reliable boyfriend, especially in his first two seasons. Initially, he comes off as the stereotypical, popular, pretty boy athlete, but later on he becomes more compassionate. However, he still has a habit of abandoning others the moment things become difficult for him. He has suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, as well as memory loss caused by multiple concussions. He is also skilled in MMA fighting.
He dropped out of Degrassi in his first senior year, but later returned and won the Student Government election, making him the president for his second senior year in the 2013-2014 school year.
He was the older step-brother and best friend of Adam Torres, who tragically passed away in Honey. Drew is best friends with Mike Dallas, K.C. Guthrie, Dave Turner and his ex-fiancée, Bianca DeSousa. He is good friends with Fiona Coyne and Clare Edwards. Following that incident, there is a football team meeting called in the gym. Drew's mother Audra is there and she threatens to go to the school board if nobody owns up to the hazing. Drew lies and says that the criminals had masks on so he couldn't who they were.
Later, Riley confronts Drew asking why he covered for them. Drew tells him that he'll continue to keep it a secret as long as Riley steps down for QB 1. Riley considers it, but decides not to and he earns the spot. Audra keeps her promise, and calls the school board. They suspend the team from playing until someone is punished for hazing Drew. After the date, he rushes to find her and tells her that he wants to be with her. She rejects him, and leaves. Later at school, he puts on an act with Owen, and K.C. and some other team members to ask Alli to the dance. Once again, she rejects him.

After, Bianca thanks him and walks away. At
lunch, Alli and Drew go and sit down, and they begin talking, Drew claims he wants to study, and they talk. Drew then gets a text from Bianca, and doesn't want Alli to see it, but after a little wrestling to get the phone Alli asks Drew why Bianca is sending her sexy photos. Trusting him, Alli leaves for class.. While Alli is in class,
Drew confronts Bianca in the hallway, and tells her that he likes the photos after she asks, but he tells her that his heart belongs to Alli, but she tells him that she doesn't care. In class he tells K.C. what is going on, he gets another sexy photo from Bianca, and shows K.C., who gasps. Before "failing" the exams Drew looks at Bianca who smiles and then looks at Alli who smiles and waves. He is pressured again.

Drew and Alli talk until Bianca walks up to him and talks a bit about the boiler room. Drew unwillingly explains how after school, Bianca persuaded him to come to the boiler room, but says that the only thing they did was kiss. Alli asked if that was the only thing, and Drew reluctantly said yes, lying to her. Alli becomes angry and leaves Drew, and sits in the hallway crying. They don't know that Owen noticed all of this. Drew confronts Alli in the hallway and tells her that it won't happen ever again, and that it was just a stupid kiss. Alli falls for him again, and wipes up her tears and they go back to the dance. But, she makes him promise to never talk to Bianca again, he promises. While discussing it and overhearing Alli and Drew talking while playing for chips at the da

Alli is pissed and breaks up with Drew, who tries to explain what happened. Alli goes into the hallway where Owen confronts her. Alli sort of
tells Owen what happened, and he tells her that any guy is stupid to cheat on her and that guys would pay big bucks to hookup with her. Alli asks how much, and Owen tells her millions, but he only has 50.
Meanwhile, Drew is playing for chips with Adam, and sees Bianca sit down across from him. He starts talking really loudly about her, and calls her a slut. She says she's not a slut because he's the one who came to her in the first place. Back to Alli and Owen, Owen persuades Alli into going to the boiler room with him, and she does. When he shows his friends Clare is surprised and tells him he "really went all out" and he said he wants to make this senior year the best one Degrassi's ever had. Once people arrive he introduces some of friends on stage. He starts to explain what the new year brings but passes out on stage in the middle of his speech.
Clare attempts to propose a texting and driving event to honor Drew's deceased brother, Adam, but Drew doesn't like the idea. He argues that there should be a beach bash dance instead. Alli says people can learn from it and Becky tells Drew it's what Adam would've wanted but Drew tells them that Adam would've wanted a Degrassi beach bash dance instead. Clare says that a vote will be held at tomorrow's meeting and Drew reluctantly agrees.
Later he is playing video games with Dallas. Dallas says he's going to bed. Drew thinks its because of the victory dance he did but Dallas explains it's because it is 1 AM. Dallas senses something is wrong with Drew and asks him what is wrong. Drew still can't believe Clare proposed a no texting and driving campaign and Dallas says Adam is just still on people's minds. Drew explains that it won't bring Adam back so they shouldn't have to dwell on it. Drew says he's going to try and get some sleep and Dallas says goodnight and walks away. Drew turns over a picture of Adam and then takes his sleeping pills.
Drew is still sleeping by the time school starts and is half asleep when Bianca calls him. Drew is still groggy when he and Bianca have a conversation and she asks if he should be in class and then states it's 9:00 AM. He looks at his watch and gets out of bed and asks Bianca if she knows what this means. She guesses detention but Drew says it means that he slept for hours. Bianca points out he fell asleep talking to her on the phone last night. Drew doesn't remember and Bianca states that he was groggy and she found his grogginess cute. Drew is just glad he finally got some sleep. Drew says he has to get to class but tells Bianca to feel free to call him back and leave a message.
Drew sees Imogen outside with beach bash props and asks if he's still dreaming. Clare confronts Drew assuming he ordered the beach bash props but he claims he didn't. Clare shows him a delivery order forum and as he walks away with the forum Imogen stops him to ask him if they find out who ordered all the props they will ask that person to get a mini wave pool, too. Drew tells Imogen he will ask before walking away. Drew tells Dallas about the problem and he finds it hilarious.
Drew thinks Dallas ordered all the props but Dallas claims he didn't and Drew did. Drew is confused and doesn't remember and Dallas explains that Drew was making a lot of noise in the kitchen around 3 AM and got up to see what was wrong. Dallas says Drew was eating ice cream and placing an order online. Drew brings up that Bianca says she talked to Drew in the middle of the night but he didn't remember. Drew then explains to Dallas that he took sleeping pills and he thought he slept so well.
Dallas tells Drew the pills work for some people but others get crazy side effects. Drew asks if he really ordered all this himself and Dallas confirms Drew did. Drew asks Dallas what he's supposed to do and Dallas tells Drew to pray for a miracle and hope he wins the vote at council.
Zoë trips and Drew catches her and explains that he "needs her". When Zoë is confused Drew says it's for a student council meeting. Zoë asks him what she has to do but Drew tells her he will explain on the way. Clare asks Drew what all those "little girls" are doing in the council meeting. Drew says he filled some open positions and that they are the new council members.
Clare proposes her texting and driving campaign which receives 8 votes and Drew proposes his Degrassi beach bash dance which receives 9 votes. Drew asks the council members if they are ready to party and Clare asks "what is this?" to which Drew replies "It's a democracy". Clare tells Drew that if he is going to run student council this way then he's on his own. Clare also states that he better get some sleep because it will be hard to control all these "children". Drew tells Dallas he will sleep just fine.
Dallas says he hopes so and Drew explains to everyone that they have a dance to plan and to start off he needs everybody's contact information. Zoë gives Drew her number first and tells him to feel free to call her anytime he wants. Drew tells Zoë if she knows anything about planning a dance he defiantly will call her. Zoë says she doesn't yet but she also states that she's a fast learner.
Drew is having trouble sleeping and he takes his medicine. Drew calls Zoë at 4 AM and starts flirting with her. Drew tells her that she's great and that he is really happy she fell into his arms. Drew also flirts further calling her the prettiest girl and tells her that she has the prettiest eyes.
In You Got Me, Mr. Simpson asks Drew if he followed all the rules in the student handbook for the beach bash. Drew says he has and Mr. Simpson asks if he booked the police officers, talked to the cafeteria ladies, and rented a sound system. Drew said he did all of those even when he didn't. Mr. Simpson suggests talking to Clare but Drew tells him he's got everything under control. Mr. Simpson tells Drew he trusts him and says "hang ten" before walking away.
Zoë immediately comes up and confronts Drew telling him to tell her that he's not the world's biggest liar. When Drew is confused Zoë asks if they're going to the dance together and Drew seems confused by this, as well. Zoë realizes Drew has a girlfriend but Drew corrects her saying he has a fiancé. Zoë explains that when Drew called in the middle of the night he said "some pretty sexy stuff" to her. Drew then blamed his medication for making him do strange things. Zoë gets mad stating that she thought he liked her. Drew says not to worry because his doctor won't give him anymore sleeping pills.
Zoë then points out that she told all he haters in her class that they are together and asks him what she should do. Drew just says to "tell them we're not" and turns around accidentally hitting her on the head with his blow up palm tree as he walks away.
Drew is bouncing a tennis ball of the wall and Dallas asks him what he's doing because it is 3 AM. Dallas thinks Drew is thinking about Adam but Drew confirms it is just a lot of work to get ready for the beach bash dance. Drew explains that his doctor won't give him any more sleeping pills because they are habit forming. Dallas suggests working on the dance but Drew claims he can't because there's too much, he is too tired, and he doesn't even know where to start. Dallas looks over the list and says he will take the food, cops, and decorations. Drew thanks Dallas and he tells Drew that he can be thanked by Drew showing up and making the dance happen. Drew begins bouncing the tennis ball again and Dallas catches it as it is bouncing back toward Drew and walks away with it.
Zoë interrupts Drew when he's fixing the sound system. Zoë promises Drew she won't yell at him. He says that's good because he has a lot to do and Zoë points out he hasn't slept and now he's freaking out. Drew recognizes his sleeping pills and Zoë said they can be all his if Drew will go to the dance with her but Drew tells Zoë, once again, he has a fiancé. Zoë explains that she doesn't care and that Drew's fiancé doesn't need to know. Zoë also states that by the end of the night Drew could have the best sleep. He reluctantly agrees and Zoë tells him to pick her up at 8:00 and Drew goes back to fixing the sound system.
Drew starts to make the playlist for the beach bash dance but then he clicks on Adam's Workout Mix (his late brother's workout songs) and he closes the laptop. He then takes his pills to help him sleep. Zoë appears at Drew's house all ready to go to the dance. She knocks on the door multiple times but he keeps sleeping. She calls him an idiot and lets herself in.
When she gets Drew to wake up he is groggy and doesn't fully know what's going on but says he doesn't want to go to the dance and that he already took the sleeping pills. Drew also mentions he just wants to sleep but Zoë reminds him that they had a deal and Drew says he can't go like this. Zoë says he can, though, and he will go because she doesn't want Miles and Maya laughing at her. Zoë throws Drew is pants and tells him to "put on his big boy pants" and Drew realizes he never made the playlist for the songs. Zoë tells him that she is sure that the others that helped with the dance figured something out.
At the dance Zoë is dragging a reluctant, drugged-up Drew on the dance floor. Zoë proves to Maya and Miles that she wasn't lying and Drew really was her date. Drew starts to hallucinate as he jumps back from Zoë. Suddenly, Zoë turns into Clare and she asks what is wrong. Drew says that he doesn't think Clare would dance with him after what he did. Miles points out that Zoë's boyfriend doesn't even know her name. Maya and Miles share a laugh. Zoë explains that he's just tired and that he planned the whole dance. Clare says the dance is great and claims that Adam would have loved it. Drew asks Clare why she would say that and Clare repeatedly whispers in his hear "Adam". Drew tells Clare to leave him alone. Zoë is clearly confused by Drew's hallucination. Dallas interrupts Alli and Leo to tell them that Drew is getting naked. Drew begins stripping and saying the ocean is beautiful. Clare asks him what he's doing and Drew claims that he's getting away from her. Drew shouts "Cannonball!" And jumps onto the beach background and falls right down landing in a kiddy pool. Drew is confused and then runs off.
Clare finds Drew and asks him what he's on. He's confused by the question and just tells her that he's on a couch. Drew begs her not to tell Bianca and Clare says she will leave that up to him if he even remembers the conversation in the morning. Clare asks what kind of drugs Drew is on but all he says is "I'm so sick of missing him". Clare recognizes that Drew is talking about Adam. Drew describes Adam as his "rock" and his "moral compass" and he states that without Adam he is lost.
Clare says everybody is lost without Adam, and that she thinks about him everyday. When Drew asks what do they all do without Adam that's when Clare offers to come back to council. Drew says she doesn't have to. Clare tells Drew that Adam would've wanted her to watch over Drew. Clare also explains only when Drew's ready that they will do something in Adam's memory to honor him and Drew states that he would like that.
Drew yarns and lays down across Clare's lap. She asks him again what he took, and Drew, already half-asleep, says a couple of sleeping pills. Clare is surprised by the effects. Drew states he is also surprised, then falls asleep.

Becky asks why he thinks Jonah has an alternative motive, "Is it so hard to believe I'm actually good at it?" Drew says it just sounds like a classic move to him. Drew jokingly says, "Hey babe, do you want to make some beautiful music together?" Becky says they are friends and music collaborators and that's it. Drew says he doesn't buy it, "Guys can't be just friends with girls Becky, it doesn't work." Later, Drew approaches Becky at her locker and asks how the rehearsal went. Drew says the baby's has to come first and that he can't keep disappointing her. Becky asks if he wants to break-up and Drew says he doesn't want to but he has to. Becky lowers her voice and walks angrily towards Drew making him walk backwards. Becky says "Seriously?" Drew says maybe they should lower the volume. Becky says she will not lower the volume and she "will not be broken-up with after I went against my own beliefs and kept dating a guy with a kid on the way after you embarrassed me in front of my grandmother and I defended you." Drew says the volume is actually getting louder. Becky says she will not be broken-up with, telling him she's now "breaking up with you and this apology smoothie, is now a break-up smoothie." Becky throws the smoothie at Drew before storming off, ending their second relationship. Later, Drew goes to Clare's next ultrasound appointment and she's glad to see him. Dallas thinks that would be awesome but retracts that when Alli gives him a look. Alli says her and Clare have planned this prom idea since they were in grade 9. Drew says she obviously doesn't care enough to show her support. Jenna also asks "where is Mama Clare." Drew makes a snarky comment that she's probably making out with her baby daddy somewhere. Alli tells him he doesn't know that but Connor asks her if best friends tell each other everything. Alli responds that they do. Drew proposes a pirate themed boat idea and Jenna and Connor side with him so Drew's idea wins out and Drew, Jenna, and Connor leave. Dallas puts his arm around Alli and Alli says she wanted their last night together to be perfect and Dallas says it will be as long as they are all together. Alli says she might need to find a boat with a plank. Dallas asks if she's warming up to the pirate theme and Alli says no, she wants Drew to walk it. In the cafeteria, Alli and the rest of the prom committee watch Becky and Jonah audition to play at prom. Alli likes them, while Drew doesn’t. Alli says they have five more acts to listen to until they make their vote.
In The Kids Aren't Alright (1), at the hospital, Drew turns up late for volunteering and gets Becky as his partner. Drew asks Becky how she is and about her and Jonah. Drew and Becky go into a room and Drew tells her he gets bad vibes from Jonah. Becky says he can't pass judgement on someone he doesn't know, but Drew thinks he can. He uses the guy whose room they're in as an example. He says the guy is a violent thug who probably had it coming. Becky thinks he's a misunderstood kid who was at the wrong place at the wrong time. The guy they thought was sleeping speaks up, telling them to get out of his room and they leave. Back in the hall, Becky calls Drew a doofus. In the school corridor, Drew finds Becky and says he wants to apologize about being such a jerk about Jonah. Becky is unimpressed by his apology and attempts to walk away. Drew stops her and says they have to volunteer together and he doesn't want to spend the whole time fighting with her. He says if she says he's a good guy, he will believe her. Becky zones out, not listening to what Drew is saying.
In The Kids Aren't Alright (2), Drew and Becky go into Damon's room and Damon asks Becky if she's here to accuse him of stealing again and if she found out who stole her money. Drew asks what he is on about and Becky tells him it's nothing. Damon explains it's usually the people you trust the most: mom, dad, a boyfriend. Becky says Drew isn't her boyfriend. Drew asks if someone stole from her and Becky admits someone did and that it was probably Jonah, telling him congratulations for having his initial hesitation with Jonah be well founded. Drew tries to talk to Becky but she tells him to leave and that she doesn't want to talk about it. Later in the hallway, Drew finds Becky alone, asks if she's coming to the musical, and asks if she's okay. Becky says she's not okay and Drew guesses it's because of Jonah. He asks if he stole the money from her. Becky says Jonah said it was for an old drug debt. Drew is surprised and Becky says she was so mad she was ready to break up with him then and there but then he's still that person she cares about so she asks Drew what she should do. Drew says he doesn't know and Becky says that he hates Jonah and she thought he would tell her to break up with him ASAP. Drew admits that's what he wants to say, but that wouldn't make him a very good friend. Becky asks if he thinks she should give Jonah another chance and Drew tells her he just wants her to be happy. Becky thanks him before Drew walks away.
In Finally (1), Alli is seen frantically planning prom when Dallas comes up to her and asks if Drew can join their limo and sit at their table. Alli does not want Drew to be near Clare, as it would only make her night worse. She compromises with Dallas, and suggests that Drew just finds a date. When Drew comes in, Alli asks if he still likes Becky and he admits he does so she suggests he ask her to prom since she broke up with Jonah. In the exam room, Drew sets up a elaborate proposal to ask Becky to prom in front of the whole room but Becky rejects him. When Drew tries to stop the music machine, smoke comes out of it and Becky is embarrassed and they are evacuated. Later, Becky and Drew finish their exams and Drew watches Becky leave the room. Alli is later seen telling Drew that there's nothing she can do about him not being allowed to go to prom, and that there's nothing they can do and that they can't skip prom.
In Finally (2), Drew is suspended for sneaking onto school property after he tells Miss Pill he did it alone. He is told he won't be walking the stage for graduation. Becky approaches Drew at the food table and says she heard him and Dallas saved prom. Drew says they did and it might be the last memory they get to make together because he's leaving to play hockey. Becky says she's never seen him so sad around food. Drew apologizes for asking her to prom in front of everyone, to which Becky says was kinda super embarrassing. Drew says he only did it because everyone is taking off to do cool things and lists Dallas, Connor, and her. He also didn't want to be alone on prom night. Becky says, "And yet here you are, talking to yourself." Drew jokingly says he's talking to his friends (the food), but says she's right and he has to accept it, "Even though Dallas and I pulled all this off, he's still leaving and tonight everyone's going to move on and forget old Drew Torres." Becky tells him not to say that because there's still graduation tomorrow but adds "but after that..." She laughs and admits she's joking and says no one could ever forget Drew Torres, adding, "I know I won't." Drew offers Becky a dance, she accepts, and they head to the dance floor. At graduation, Miss Pill lets him join his friends on stage after his friends hold their caps in a formation which reads "We <3 Drew." Audra claps for him in the audience. Outside, his mom says she is proud of both of her sons while giving him a hug and a kiss. He goes up to Dallas and tells him he didn't have to do that. Dallas says he had his back yesterday, so he had Drew's today and that's how it will always be. They hug and when the conga line is started by Becky and Imogen, he joins.
