The friendship between Eli Goldsworthy and Mo Mashkour developed during the twelfth season of Degrassi.

In Ray of Light (1), they are both playing video games with Jake. When Fiona asks Eli to do a project, Mo and Jake are both curious to know what it is. The next day, Mo and Jake meet Eli in a classroom and then Eli invites them to a secret party. Mo is about to tell Marisol about it, but Eli says to keep it a guy's night. The three of them attend the party together.
In The Time of My Life, Eli sings as part of Mo's plan to win back Marisol at graduation.
