The conflict between Katie Matlin and Luke Baker began in Season 12 of Degrassi. It is one of the many conflicts that Luke was involved with at Degrassi.

In Say It Ain't So (1), Luke tries flirting with Katie, but she rejects him.
In Never Ever (2), Luke eats one of the tomatoes from the garden in Katie's face, after helping Mike Dallas destroy it.
In Sabotage (2), when a fight breaks out at Clare Edwards's birthday party, Katie gets on Luke's back and attempts to choke him.

- Katie had a conflict with Luke's former friend, Mike Dallas while Luke had conflicts with Katie's boyfriend, Jake Martin and her friend Clare Edwards.
- Both Katie and Luke's sisters, Maya Matlin and Becky Baker, have lost their ex-boyfriends. Maya lost Campbell Saunders and Becky lost Adam Torres.
- They were both members of the Degrassi Student Council.
- Neither of them were in a Degrassi Mini.
