Season 1[]
In What a Night!, Lucy comes into the school library (after talking with Mr. Raditch), and Voula tells her that she'll help her study for the spelling test. The girls study at Lucy's house after school, but Lucy soon gets tired of studying and decides to give Voula a makeover. When Voula has to leave, Lucy lets her borrow one of her scarves.
The next day, Lucy does well on the test. After her dance class, she takes Voula shopping as thanks for helping her. However, when Lucy grabs an expensive sweater and stuffs it in her purse, Voula tells her to put it back, but Lucy refuses and insists that the store expects to lose stuff. As they're leaving, they get caught and are taken to the police station. While they are there, Lucy apologizes to Voula, but the latter says "Don't talk to me" because she is mad at Lucy for getting them both in trouble. Voula's mother and father arrive at the station to take her home, but the police cannot contact Lucy's parents. The police tell Lucy ā who has been caught shoplifting before, and let off with a warning ā that this time they're going to have to charge her.
At school the day after, Voula is still mad at Lucy and says her parents won't let her see Lucy anymore.
