Ms. Grell was the Remedial Room instructor and is now the Digital Arts teacher as well as the Guidance Counselor at Degrassi Community School. She is portrayed by Aisha Alfa.

Season 13[]
In The World I Know, she instructs the class to do character interviews about why they're here and to find out what skills they have. She tells them that they were to present as their partner the next day. When Maya asks to work alone, she says no. While Maya and Zig are working together, she checks in on them. During Maya and Zig's presentation, she looks annoyed and yells at Zig to get back on track while he is mocking Maya.
In Better Man, she yells at the kids for playing Smackball in her room, and makes them straighten up the room. Maya insults her during class in order to try and fit in with the other kids. Later, Maya answers Ms. Grell's question correctly.
In What It's Like, she doesn't give Maya an extension on the paper. Later, Maya goes to Ms. Grell when she learns that Zig is homeless. Ms. Grell promises to take care of the situation. Zig later reveals to Maya that Ms. Grell plans to call Child's Aide, which would put him in a group home. She later administrates trust exercises in class.
In You Are Not Alone, she announces to her students that Principal Simpson is ordering the lockers to be searched. Ms. Grell takes the class back inside after Zig's locker is found to be clean.
In How Bizarre, she leads class, but catches Zig reading a cooking magazine. The next day, Ms. Grell and the class asks Zig about how his first day on the job went. Ms. Grell suggests that maybe they only had him watch someone chop onions all day was so that he would learn.

In If You Could Only See, she tries to talk to Maya about why she screamed in class and reminds her that she is always there to talk, but Maya tries to avoid the subject. She later calls Maya's mother because she was concerned.

In #NoFilter, she gives out an assignment to make a short animation video on how their lives will be in 15 years.

In #SquadGoals, Maya and Grace are seen in her class as Peter Stone speaks with them about what people look for in an employee.

In #FactsOnly, Ms.Grell approaches Yael about their gender dysmorphia after Yael attempts to enter the boys bathroom and overhears their conversion with Hunter, Baaz and Vijay about gender stereotypes. She pulls Yael to the side and says she's noticed some changes and provides Yael with resources related to gender and sexual identity.
