Phillip Hawthorne is the stepfather of Zoë Rivas and the husband of Consuela Rivas.

Phillip in #Woke at his and Consuela's wedding.
He is first seen in #Woke, during Consuela's wedding after asking Zoe to leave due to the scene she was causing with her mother about her sexuality and bringing Rasha to the wedding after her mother didn't want her too. He is only seen twice throughout the series due to the aftermath of Zoe's relationship with her mother we only see him one more time before the series concludes.

In #KThxBye, Phillip is seen showing up before Zoe graduates telling her that her mother isn't coming to graduation. He hands her a box and leaves before the ceremony begins marking his final appearance on the show and ending the plotline between Zoe's strained relationship with her mother.
