Robert Kerwin is Ashley Kerwin's father. He and Kate Kerwin divorced after Kate discovered that he had cheated on her with another man. Initially, Ashley has a problem accepting her father's sexuality, but eventually accepts him and attends his wedding to his partner, Christopher. He was portrayed by Andrew Gillies.

In Secrets and Lies, he comes out to his daughter, Ashley Kerwin.
Season 4[]
In Anywhere I Lay My Head, Robert and Christoper attended Ashley's parent-teacher conferences, where they met Ashley's best friend Ellie Nash and her mother Caroline Nash. As she was drunk, Mrs. Nash insulted them when she learned that they were gay, much to Ellie's embarrassment.
In Voices Carry (1), Robert is getting married to his boyfriend, Christopher. The wedding party goes out to a gay club to celebrate. Robert and Christopher can be seen slow dancing.
In Voices Carry (2), the marriage between Robert and Christopher occurs. In this episode, Robert gets into a fight with Ashley's boyfriend Craig Manning.
In Secret (1), Ashley mentions that Robert and Christopher returned from their honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta. She tells Craig that they had asked about him. At the time, Craig was extremely angry at Ashley for sending him to the same therapy group that Ellie attended and sarcastically asked her if Robert and Christopher had referred to him as "Crazy Craig".
