Sarena Parmar is a Canadian television and theatre actress (born: September 18, 1983) who portrayed Farrah Hassan in Degrassi: The Next Generation. Born in Prince George and raised in Kelowna, British Columbia, Sarena later went on to graduate from The National Theatre School of Canada as valedictorian in 2002. Her family is originally from Punjab, India. Sarena is best known for her role as Chandra Mehta, on the television show, How To Be Indie.
